Our Ministries

The Covenant Marriage Enrichment Ministry

The Covenant Marriage Enrichment Ministry (CMEM) was organized on September 4, 2012 under the tutelage of Deacon Leroy and Sister Rachel Lloyd. Pastor Delmons White was the overseer. The objectives of the Marriage Ministry are:

  • 1. To encourage and motivate couples to pray for the sanctity of their marriage.
  • 2. To gain a better understanding of love and forgiveness in marriage.
  • 3. To handle crisis and stress so that your marriage grows stronger even in times of trouble.

The ministry is filled with educational, spiritual, and emotional substances, with fun activities as an added boast!

Missionary Society

The Missionary Society was reorganized on Sunday, May 3, 1999. The previous ministry became inactive due to a lack of participation and interest. The ministry is a vital organ of our church in providing spiritual and financial care to our members and the community.

Our Mission is to build the kingdom of Jesus Christ on earth through prayer, study, consecration, personal service, regular giving and helpful cooperation.

Membership is open to all members of the Church AND to non-members. We meet monthly to explore the treasures of scripture that helps us to grow deeper in faith. It allows us to be truthful with each other and not judgmental. We are truly bonded as we offer encouragement to each other. Every 2nd Sunday is Missionary Sunday at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. The morning begins with a spirit-filled devotional led by the Society Sisters and Deaconesses.

Pastor’s Aide Ministry

The Mission of the Pastor’s Aide Ministry is to be empowered and led by the Holy Spirit to effectively Aide, Serve, Love, Strengthen, Intercede, and Encourage our Pastor and First Family.

Duties of the Pastor’s Aide Ministry:

The Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church Pastor ‘s Aide ministry functions to encourage the pastor personally and ministerially. This includes financial, moral and spiritual support and assistance with church programs and ministry. Support is extended via prayer, fundraising, participation in ministries and personal follow-up. It finds its biblical basis, among other places, in 1 Timothy 5: 17, “Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word.

Senior Choir

Feeling a need to serve the Lord with singing, the Senior Choir was organized in the year of 1948, under the leadership of Rev. W.S. Scott. The president at that time was Deacon William Hunter. Throughout the years the choir has strived hard to grow stronger in faith and membership.

Women of Purpose

The Women of Purpose Prayer Band functions under the auspices of the Missionary Society. The members are dedicated to the ministry of prayer and intercession. Their mission is to serve the Body of Christ locally and around the world by praying for their needs and requests. Members meet twice weekly; however, they are constantly in prayer for the spiritual growth of our church, the sick, distressed and all mankind. The ministry was birthed by Sister Geneva Patterson.
